Movement Coaching

Are you preparing for an audition and wondering how to bring your character to life physically?

When building a character, it’s easy to focus entirely on learning the lines, understanding the script and finding the right words. But what about everything your body is saying?

Physicality is often overlooked, despite the fact that non-verbal communication plays a huge role in how we connect with an audience. Some communication research suggests that as much as 68% of meaning can be conveyed through non-verbal cues, although the exact figure depends on the context and how communication is measured.

Your posture, movement, gestures, rhythm and the way you inhabit space can tell us so much about a character before they even speak.

That’s where I come in!

I’m offering one-to-one physicality coaching for actors, designed to help you build confidence, develop your character and bring greater depth to your performance.

Whether you’re looking for a one-off session to explore physicality for an upcoming audition or short film, or you want to really flesh out a role through a series of three sessions, we’ll work together to discover the physical world of your character.

A series of three sessions can be particularly useful when preparing drama school monologues, giving us the time and space to experiment, make bold choices and develop a fully realised, embodied performance.

Drawing on my experience as an actor and movement director, my approach is playful, collaborative and tailored to you. Together, we’ll explore how physicality can support your storytelling, unlock new choices and make your performance feel more alive.

Whether you’re preparing for drama school, an audition, a short film or simply want to develop your skills as an actor, let’s get your body working for you!
